Die Gewinner der Golden Joystick Awards 2018!

Am Freitag Abend wurden zum 36. Mal die „Golden Joystick Awards“ verliehen.

Mit vier Auszeichnungen, plus „Studio of the Year“ für die Santa Monica Studios, war God of War der heimliche Sieger des Abends. Kratos PS4-Abenteuer gewann in den Kategorien „Best Storytelling“, „Best Visual Design“, „Best Audio“ und „PlayStation Game of the Year“. Der Hauptpreis „Ultimate Game of the Year“ ging jedoch an Epic Games Fortnite Battle Royale.

„Xbox Game of the Year“ wurde Forza Horizon 4 von Playground Games / Turn 10, „Nintendo Game of the Year“ Square Enix‘ Octopath Traveler. Die Kategorie „Most Wanted Game“ konnte CD Projekt Red mit Cyberpunk 2077 gewinnen und der „Critics Choice Award“ ging an Rockstars Red Dead Redemption 2. Dark Souls-Schöpfer Hidetaka Miyazaki von From Software wurde für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet.
