The Game Awards 2021: Die Gewinner im Überblick

Für viele stehen bei den Game Awards nicht die eigentlichen Preise, sondern die zahlreichen Trailer und Ankündigungen im Mittelpunkt – und dennoch fühlt es sich an, als würden die Awards selbst jährlich an Bedeutung gewinnen.

Besonders spannend war im Vorfeld das Rennen um den Preis „Game of the Year“: Zwar galt Deathloop als Favorit, wirklich eindeutig, wie in manchen vorangegangenen Jahren, konnte man einen Anwärter auf den Titel dann aber doch nicht festmachen. Schließlich kam es, wie es in solchen Fällen kommen musste und ein Außenseiter nahm die Trophäe mit nachhause: It Takes Two von Hazelight Studios wurde als bestes Spiel des Jahres ausgezeichnet und der charismatische Josef Fares durfte die Trophäe auf der Bühne entgegennehmen.
