Epic Games vs. Apple: Der Streit eskaliert
Nun wird es richtig heftig! Der Streit zwischen Epic Games und Apple eskaliert. Alle Epic Games-Entwickler-Accounts für iOS und macOS werden gesperrt.
Nun holt Apple zum Gegenschlag aus. Fortnite war der Auslöser, Epic Games war unzufrieden mit dem Gebührenmodell im Google Play Store und App Store von Apple. Bis zu 30 Prozent der Einnahmen mussten an die beiden abgetreten werden.
Am Freitag, 28. August, wird Apple alle Entwicklerkonten kündigen und Epic und die Unreal Engine von den iOS- und Mac-Entwicklungstools ausschließen. Eine gütliche Einigung scheint derweil sehr weit entfernt.
Die Sperre kann verhindert werden, wenn die Übertretungen der Entwickler-Lizenzvereinbarung innerhalb von 14 Tagen korrigiert werden. Heißt also, dass sich Epic Games dem Gebührenmodell von Apple beugt. Mal sehen, wie es weitergeht.
