Die Gewinner der Eisner Awards 2018 im Überblick

Auch in diesem Jahr wurden im Rahmen der San Diego Comic Con die Eisner Awards verliehen. Der begehrte Preis, benannt nach der Comic-Legende Will Eisner, ist mit dem Oscar für Comic-Schaffende vergleichbar.

Großer Gewinner der Verleihung war der Titel Monstress mit fünf Preisen. Die Serie von Marjorie Liu und Sana Takeda erscheint im Image-Verlag. Durch Cross Cult hat Monstress jedoch auch seinen Weg in den deutschsprachigen Raum gefunden. Interessant ist die Tatsache, dass sich Marjorie Liu und Tom King (Batman, Mister Miracle) den Preis für den besten Comic-Autoren teilen. In der Jury herrschte nämlich Stimmengleichstand. Als bester Zeichner wurde Mitch Gerards (Mister Miracle) geehrt.

Weitere Gewinner sind unter anderem Mike Mignola und Adam Hughes für Hellboy: Krampusnacht, Emil Ferris für My Favorite Thing Is Monsters und Roxane Gay, Ta-Nehisi Coates sowie Alitha E. Martinez für Black Panther: World of Wakanda.
